Before / after
What gets said on the phone, and what it was.
Four patterns that come up every week in Phoenix. None of them is a diagnosis of your machine — they are the reason a technician asks about the symptom before quoting a part.
- 01
“It clicks and clicks and never lights.”
A spark you can hear proves the module, the electrode and the switch. What is left is a burner cap sitting off its head, or ports packed with dust.
- 02
“The fridge side is warm, the freezer is fine.”
Two compartments off one cold source. A stalled evaporator fan or a defrost heater that never runs starves the fresh-food side while the freezer stays hard.
- 03
“Preheat takes forever and nothing browns.”
Half power. One of a pair of elements has gone open circuit, or a sensor reading high has convinced the board it is already there.
- 04
“There is water on the floor after it finishes.”
A cycle that has ended should be a sealed box. An inlet valve that will not close fully keeps filling quietly long after the last drain.
Gas smell, water on the floor, or a refrigerator losing ground?
Shut the appliance off at the wall, or at the gas valve behind it, and call. The phone is answered 24/7; work is carried out 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days. Flat $89 service call covering the visit and full diagnosis, credited against the repair once you approve it.
Standing behind it
Four things that are true before you call.
-
Independent, not a dealer
We are an independent service company working on Viking equipment. No sales floor, no quota, no reason to talk you into a replacement.
-
Licensed and insured
Licensed, bonded and insured. We provide our licence number to customers on request.
-
A number before a spanner
Nothing is dismantled before you have a number. We diagnose first, write the parts and labour down as a range, and you decide — the service call comes off the total the moment you approve the work.
-
Stocked for the common faults
Igniters, flame sensors, evaporator fans, thermostats, inlet valves and door seals ride on the van, so the fault we find most often is the fault we can close the same visit.
Asked most
Straight answers, before you ring.
-
What does a repair actually cost?
Repairs on this equipment run $190 – $2,970 depending on which part has failed — an igniter is at one end, a sealed-system job at the other. Flat $89 service call covering the visit and full diagnosis, credited against the repair once you approve it. You get the range for your specific fault in writing before anything is dismantled, and you can decline it and pay only the service call.
-
How soon can somebody come out?
The phone is answered 24/7. Work is carried out 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days. Call and you will be told the first slot that genuinely exists rather than the one that sounds best — Phoenix is a wide metro and a van is either near you or it is not.
-
Do you work on every Viking appliance?
Ranges and rangetops, wall ovens and range ovens, built-in and undercounter refrigeration, and dishwashers. Viking built a lot of variants of each; give us the model number off the rating plate and we will tell you before we drive.
-
Is it worth repairing at this age?
Usually, and the arithmetic is the reason. A like-for-like swap — a comparable Viking replacement, before installation — is $7,090 – $16,390. Against that, most of what fails on these machines is one part, not the machine. We will say plainly when a repair stops making sense.
-
Why does the desert matter to an appliance?
Condenser coils clog faster here, dust storms pack burner ports, garages run far hotter than the room a refrigerator was designed for, and city water scales spray jets and inlet valves. Four of the five most common faults we see are environmental.
-
Can I book without calling?
Yes. The booking page takes an appointment directly. There is no form on this site and no email address — a call or the booking page, nothing else.
Four appliances
The whole Viking kitchen, and nothing else.
A narrow trade on purpose. The same four machines every day means the fault list is short and the parts that fix it are already on the van.
-
Range Repair Ignition, low-flame control and griddle or grill faults on Viking professional rangetops and ranges. Burner sparks again and again but never catchesLow setting will not hold, so anything simmering scorches See the fault list -
Refrigerator Repair Cooling loss, defrost trouble and seal work on Viking built-in, column and undercounter refrigeration. Fresh food side creeping into the fifties while the freezer stays hardCondenser packed with dust and the compressor never cycling off See the fault list -
Oven Repair Element, sensor, door and control work on Viking wall ovens, French-door ovens and range ovens. Preheat crawls and roasts come out paleCavity temperature swinging well either side of the set point See the fault list -
Dishwasher Repair Fill, drain, wash and dry diagnostics for Viking integrated and panel-front dishwashers. Glassware coming out chalky from hard-water scaleWater on the floor after the cycle has already ended See the fault list
Next step
Tell us the model number and what changed.
Most of a diagnosis starts on the phone. The rating plate number, the symptom and roughly when it started decide which parts come on the van — which is the difference between one visit and two.

“The custom door panel had worked loose and the machine no longer latched. He remounted it, reset the brackets and adjusted the strike. One push and it shuts. Nothing replaced.”
Leontine A. · Camelback East · December 2025
“The oven burner lit and then rolled flame out toward the door, which scared me off using it. The flue was choked with dust and bits of nest. Cleared, burner adjusted, and he checked the draft twice.”
Veronique H. · Willo · September 2025
“Milk kept turning in our Encanto bungalow while the readout insisted on thirty-seven. The interior lights were staying on behind a closed door, cooking the top shelves. New switch, and it settled overnight.”
Caridad V. · Encanto · October 2025
